Agent USA was an educational game made in 1984 by Scholastic. It was made for the Apple II, the Commodore, and later for the PC.
Your character is an agent who would travel from city to city across America via train, trying to stop the Fuzzbomb. The Fuzzbomb was the boss at the end of the game, and he would turn regular citizens into Fuzzbodies. You have to grow crystals in order to stop them. If you give a crystal to a Fuzzbody, they would turn back into a regular citizen. This game helped teach geography because you had to look at a map to find where the Fuzzbomb activity was, and then you had to type that city name in to buy a train ticket to that location. For this competition, I'd like to also do a "UK" version, since most people in the competition are from the UK. When I was in elementary school, we played this game every chance we could in the library during lunch break. It was good at mixing education into an action game. | ![]() |
